Why is it that when my husband and I applied for a car loan, his credit score came up 120pts. less than what it is reported as. I just checked it before we went car shopping, and the dealer said that car financing checks a different set of numbers than say a credit card or mortgage company would. I knew they used Transunion, and that is what I checked before we left, and I also watched him check Transunion on his computer screen. Can someone shed some light on this for me??????

My case is sad because a modification of child support affected seriously my financial status and way of life. I have a salary of 18/hour, with a dependent (unemployed) and I have to pay $1,200 monthly. Therefore I am starting to file a Bankrutcy chaapter 13 in order to modificate or reduce the child support amount, how is this process? thanks

I have a quick question because I am a little bit confused. I read in another thread that it is illegal for a creditor to report on an account that was sold to another company. Is this in fact true? Or, does that mean that a creditor cannot report a balance owed if they sold the debt? This stuff is all a little overwhelming. My husband and I are trying to dig ourselves out of a huge hole we created when we were both laid off on the same day in 12/01. I have received numerous calls from a company calling themselves United Processing Services with the phone number of 305-433-8364. Their english is so broken you can barely understand them. I have been holding them off but the last time they called this a.m. at my job and asked taht I forward them to a manager which I did not do. What can I do to stop them from calling my office and notifying my employer of my personal business. I work for a lawfirm so I surely don't want anyone knowing my business or getting fired. Thanks!
