Has anyone ever ordered bank checks from other companies besides your bank? Just wonder if these companies are legit. I was looking at an advertisement for Bradford Exchange and they had some checks that I like. I'm very cautious with giving out banking info since I've been dealing with the pdls.

We are currently swimming in debt due to payday loans and personal loans.we filed bankruptcy in 2002 whicw we voluntarily dismissed in 2004.we have tried to refinance our home, but due numerous late payments on our 1st and 2nd mortgages we cannot get it done.we have a decent income and all we need is a fresh start do have any suggestions. :( :( :(

I haven't been on for over two weeks due to mom being in the hospital. She had another heart attack, almost died, and they put in a pacemaker-defbrillator in, seems to be doing a little better. During this time, my sister-in-law had emergency surgery and had part of her bowel removed, and is now having seizures. Also, my mother -in-law had her blood sugar drop to 13 and almost died, still isn't doing well. They put a do not resusitate on her yesterday. So I need prayers!! I will try to be on when I can now that mom is home, but for a while it will be limited due to her and the others.

When a debt collector calls, do you have to say hello twice before they say anything? I waited for 5 minutes on the phone waiting for them to say something. I can't afford to have them continually call me.

I'm not quite sure how much debt I got so far, but here is a quick overview: 1. Around $5,000 in credit cards 2. About $1,500 from a department store 3. Around $12,000 in College loans I used a bill consolidation service in the past. It worked okay and I got out of debt. Since then however I got once again in debt almost at a blink of on eye. It is already kind of overwhelming. Over half my salary already goes to bills, and sometimes I even have trouble making minimum payments.

I settled a small debt over the phone with allied interstate. I assumed it was a vaid one. Now they are calling again after knowing what I know now I am not sure whether to call them or not. I can not continue to receive their calls and I am sure they have no legitimate reason to call. What can I do?

Right now I am being harrassed to death by NCO Financial Systems aka "Whatever else they go by"..Anyway, the account that they are trying to collect on is for Capital One. On my CR, it says that I was past due 30 days as of Oct. 03. Since the SOL in North Carolina is 3 years on open acconts, wouldn't the SOL have been up in Oct. 06?? If so, what type of letter can I send NCO to let them know that I am aware of the SOL running out and to stop them from sending me letters and calling me constantly, starting @ 8 am on Saturday morning?? :twisted: :wink:
