They continue to call me at work the exact same individual everytime I say I told you last time do not call me at work she says she has no record. They got over 500 dollars out of me because of my lack of knowledge. I issued a stop payment on the last 127 and they are harassing me. I told them to mail me a letter since I started the SOL over when I started paying. I still have not recieved a letter. Capital One sues a lot of people and after charge off they generally do not sell off the debt, but work it with 2-3 collection agencies and then turn it over to collection attorney's who will then file suit against debtors. I live in Riverside County in California and the court system there allows you to examine cases and much of the details online in the comfort of your own home.

We sent out debt validations to the lawyer who is suing us. His associate called today, almost three weeks after we attempted to call the lawyer directly, threatening my husband with judgment. He claimed that, in two weeks, they will be passing judgment on my husband, so he better pay it now or else. He also yelled at my husband, accusing him of not having a job and "laying around on his ass all day". My husband hung up on him after that, then called the clerk of courts.

I have noticed as a guest that posting rights are back. For that I say thank you. I am concerned however that some members are already back to criticizing guest using the "if you stay hidden you will not be taken seriously" line. It appears that the same stuff is going to happen all over again and I thinks thats awful. Just my opinion.
