I got into a big problem with these loans. I am getting calls from foreigners threatening me, calling at work, etc. I can hardly understand what they are saying. The best I have been able to determine three accts., possibly 4, have been turned over to I-Collect which has subcontracted them out to other collectors. I have been unable to get I-Collect to call me back. I have already paid all or some of the original amt. borrowed.

I went back to school for 6 months and accumulated student loan and credit card debt.

I recently experienced a garnishment of my checking account by Asset Acceptance. I did not know that it could happen and I recently sent them a payment by check, instead of taking the amount that I sent them, they took my whole account. When I contacted them they told me this is what happens when you owe someone money. They also told me that they would not let me know when it would happen, how often or how much. And also that it cannot be reversed. I have not received any notice of a garnishment and my bank let it go through.

the story is like this: I've had a collection with allied interstate over an SBC phone bill (sbc didn't provide service for 3 months but still send me bills) which I've paid i February of 2006. Recently I've checked my credit report and score and the allied thing is still present even if it's paid. My banker said that i have to call them -which i did - and ask them for a letter stating that I've paid my dept in full and that i don't owe them nothing,and send that letter to the tree credit bureaus so they can remove it from my credit report; I've never got it.

Has anyone noticed that everyone is moving incredibly SLOOOOOOW this year? It's like someone didn't show up to perform, and they're trying to waste time. And they're all acting drunk.......

Hello all. I bought a truck in 2005 and started driving as an owner operator. The business has not been so good in 2006 and I had to use credit cards to pay for the maintenance and living expenses. They approved all the cards I applied for and I used them all hoping the business would be better. Now I am looking in about 20,000 dollars debt on 5 different cards. I am looking into debt consolidation but I don't know much about it. Can someone help me out?

Hi, I have a few collection accounts on my credit report related to unpaid credit cards in 2001-2002 due to a divorce. Recently, I'm trying to repair my credit to get a business loan, but don't know where to start, knowing that the statue of limitations (4 years in Texas) is over for those debts. Do I need to ask for debt validation after all this time, or just start negotiating with the collection agencies for a portion of the debt? What about the charge off notes from the original creditors on my credit report.
