I had 25% of my check garnished after never recieving any court order. I am in the process of filing bankruptcy but haven't filed because I haven't paid the lawyer in full. Does anyone know how much they can garbish? Can multiple people garnish? How long does each garnisment last? Thanks for any input.

I am sure i am posting in the wrong place BUT i didnt see any forum close enough. I am relocating to Raleigh NC, i currently have an active and in good standing bank account where i currently live HOWEVER my bank does not have branches in NC. I obtained this bank account through a friend who worked at the my bank since i am reported in ChexSystems and telecheck. I will be denied an account due to this.... Does anyone know of any banks in NC that do not go through ChexSystems????

Why are you sending me a colection letter for something that aint mine. You say I owe your company $236.76 from 2004. There is like no way I can owe you people anything as I was in the pen for 6 year until 2005, so you all need to back off and take your charges somewhere else. I just graduated from college in May 2006. I have over 50,000 in school loans, which would not be so hard to pay if i could get my other debts down. I have a 2,000 dollar credit card bill and a 500 dollar old navy bill. I racked these both up in college trying to buy books and clothing and stuff. I also have a baby on the way and know, this will only put me more in debt. Any suggestions? Im not too bad yet, but i want to avoid never ahead of these bills.

I have been with a debt cosolidation co. for about a year now. I pay more now than i did with the credit card co. can i switch debt consolidation co. and also get back the money they are holding for my last payment
