Received a call at work and on my cell from a Ms. Morgan... they represent a freestanding checksmart location here in my city who i closed an account that had an outstanding check with them for a payday loan. Well this lady said that their is action being taken against me and i have until 4 p.m. today to respond. They said i will have action taken against me at my home or work? What the heck does this mean? Am i going to jail? I am freaking out.

This company is reporting on my credit report an amount that has added intrest, after a judgement. The original creditor has never filed a Mem of cost after judgement, so how can this company keep adding intrest. Due to three reporting agency's the amount is more that trippled on my report, thats including the judgement amount. How can I get help. LVNV keeps updating the last update Date, when the original judgement date is approx 3 years older. It is all effecting my score, and I am trying to clean everything up.

A ipdl company just called me at work and asked me if i had kids i said yes she said that i better find somewhere for them to go because i won't be seeing them for a long time. I have a creditor that has issued a garnishment on my wages from work..however i was not properly served a summons or anything..all of a sudden i just see a garnishment statement in the mail.. Is this valid...what can i do to stop this... Thank you

My husband was sent to collections by Magnum Cash Advance. I just received the letter today. Can someone tell me where I need to go from here? There are a few companies that I was able to have them close the account because they were illegal and I made a complaint through the BBB. Should I try the BBB with them also? What is my next step?
