Hi there...I stumbled upon this site tonight on accident....it's a relief to see that there are so many others who have experienced what I am currently going through! (though I feel bad that you had to live through it, believe me!) I am a 21 year old female who has a decent job, but who also fell into the payday loan trap. What started out with one payday loan has now become 6. It has gotten to the point where just about all of each paycheck goes to the loan fees. It makes me sick to know that I am giving them so much money, just in fees alone. This last payday was the last straw.

why couldn't I placed my thoughts or question on the board? My sis rcvd a collection letter from a creditor of Wal-Mart, The thing is We don't shop there, we don't believe Wal-Mart ethics, and what is really weird is her bill (collection notice) was receivd in my house, in a different city. She is contacting the BBB and hoping to find some answers, or a to file or join an open class action lawsuit.

My husband and I had recieved a couple of pay day loans back in november. Well some unexpected things happen and it went into default. A man called us today and stated we had until 6:00p.m today to come up with all the money and pay or we would not like what would happen tommorrow. That we were getting felony charges against us and they have already talked to are county to contact us. Said their not collection agency can give payment arrangements. Also the orignal loan was for 300 and 90.00 for fiannce charge he says we owe 800.00 for it.

how can i pay my legacy visa card online

Hey. I have a debt that was charged of on 3/31/2004. My credit report shows the last activity on the account as 12/2003. I have since made payments to a collection agency, but not to the original creditor. In California the SOL is 4 years. Does that mean from the charge off date, last payment to original creditor, or the last payment to the collection agency? Please help. mickeyhatt1

alright folks...weve got about 15k in credit debt..minimal to some, but alot to us...we are looking into the DC...but dont know who to go to? and dont know what to look for as in fees, and the such... weve put in for a call but have yet to recieve one.. so please someone lead us in the right direction! I have Several(7) Pay Day Loans. I got myself into trouble trying to keep up with bills and I did not have good credit therefor I turned to PDL. I live in IL. and IL. has a pay day reform act to protect consumer it basically sates I can opt for paying back PDLS without intrest or fees in 4 equal payemnts after the loan has been oustsatnding for 35 consecutives days. I was wodering what peoeple thoughts are since if I quote the law I'm afraid the PDLs might elctronically debt the full amount and I would be devastated. Any thoughts would be greatly apperciated.
