Everyone's favorite collector "Mr. Odom" calls today and ofourse leaves his usual colorful message. He starts off by saying that he got the e-mail I sent "to a Mr. Atkins" and "we both had a good chuckle about this" and then he says "everyone else can seem to get through but you so for some ungodly reason I don't believe you are telling the truth" Then he says something like "there are two states in the US where we can assess any interest rate we want" Words sound a little unclear but the tail end of the sentence was definately "we can assess any interest rate we want".

I have a payday loan and it is showing up on my bank statement as early payday. I cannot seem to find anything about who this company is. Any help??

I got a threatening call from Bass and Associates and then i was told i had to pay $580 down and then make payments I was threatened with litigation. I sent out $200 but they called back after getting the money and said i had to send the other $380 today. I told the i couldn't pay anymore today and was told they would file charges of theft by deception. Can this be done????

Hi Everyone, I previously posted about being sued by a creditor for $6K debt. How do I contest proof of service? I am being sued by creditor. Service was improper. They said they gave a copy of the summons to someone over 18 in my household about 2 weeks before I actually got the summons by mail. There is no postmark on the envelope summons came in so I have no way of proving date I received summons. Does anyone know what happens after I file my answer to the summons in court? I did that today.

I live in Wisconsin and I have had my share of bad luck with health and work issues. I am currantly behind two months with utilities, rent, auto loan and about to be canceled by auto ins. Hi all - I just found out why I keep receiving credit card offers at my address in my ex-husband's name. Apparently his SSN is showing up on my credit report for some reason. Is there a letter on the site somewhere that someone has created that I can send to all the credit bureaus to make them aware that this SSN is not associated with me? I am worried that any credit problems he may have would show up on my report, since his SSN is showing up there. We have been divorced for quite some time, and I don't know how this number got on there. Thanks.
