I was given a car by someone who had been given the car. There is no title. How do i find title to car so i can register it

I had to get tags for my car today... SO I got to the BMV, and no one else was there. YIPPEE! Or so I thought. They pull up my records and inform me that my registration priveleges are suspended because I didn't show proof of insurance October of 2004. Oh YES I did...When I paid the ticket, I had to show it to them then. And the lady said I was all taken care of. So I had to drive all the way to my insurance agents office to get the records. Then I had to drive to the reinstatement office and wait in line for 2 hours.

I have received a debt warrant from Target. I'm to appear in court on the 30th of November. It is not that I do not want to pay the debt. As soon as I realized that I was not able to pay the debt I signed up with a settlement group. As soon as I was about to complete the last payment of one of my credit cards, I lost my job. I was out of work for about 4 months and could not make any payment. Then Target card decided to sue me too. I was even collecting unemployment for some time. I received a summons that was filed with my local municipal court through Asset Acceptance Corporation. The plaintiff is SBC and it is for a telephone number I had 4 years ago. What steps do I need to take to get this taken care of. The amount is 2500 and I cannont afford to pay that right now. They are really hard to deal with when it comes to making payments. It says I have 28 days to file a reply, then three days to do something else. Not sure what it is. If I contact them will they negotiate to keep it out of court? If it goes to court, can they garnish my wages?

This number has called my cell phone twice. I go to answer and it hangs up after two or three rings. When I called the number back it says this number is blocked from your area code. I just received a letter from Merchants' Credit Guide Co. saying please be advised we represent lvnv funding llc. who has purchased your defaulted account. The letter also names an original creditor Centrust Bank and amount due. I have had very good credit for the past 16 years. I just checked my credit reports. Everything was very good . My score was over 800. If I do have any bad credit it would have to be over 16 years old. What is the best way to reply to this letter?
