I received a call yesterday from a man named William from Bass&Associates. To make a long story short, he used he scare tactics telling me that I had 2 hours to settle the pdls debt or I would be arrested. He was probably expecting me to be scared, but I wasn't. So I told him he would be hearing from my attorney. He hung up on me. 10 minutes later a get a call from the same number, but I didn't answer it because I was on the other line. This man left a voicemail message telling me to call Lewis St John and ?( I couldn't understand the rest of the name, but it was the same phone number.

Has anyone dealt with these people? I have paid the principal ($300.00 + 60.00) now they want $300.00 more. I have filed complaints against them, but it just doesn't seem to phase them...

I am currently working with Prosper Financial to help settle our debts. Has anyone had success with Prosper or a different debt settlment company? I've only been with them for about 7 months and its already been a long road with creditors harassing us - we have a couple accounts that have to go to collections before they can be settled. I guess I could just use some reassurance that I'm not paying this company a ton of $ for nothing. Thanks

I have a letter wanting to do a settlement with this company on the behalf of Spiegel, should I do this it has already screwed up my credit report? I dont want to go thru what everyone else is going thru.

Hi, I have about 6,000 dollars in credit card debt. This debt is broken down into 3 credit cards, all of which are overdue, and not current. I just lost my job so I really cannot call them to tell them I can't pay them anytime soon. Is it a good idea for me to enroll in debt consolidation? are there upfront fees that must be paid in order to get the program started?

Hello Everyone: I am in quite a pickle. I volunteer repossessed my Harley Davidson last August. At the time, Harley Davidson told me that I would get near or over the value of my bike at auction (if they listen to the recording they will hear that word for word). They got half of the 22k that I owed. They are now trying to collect the debt. I have tried to work with the collections agency, they offered a settlement of $7700 or I need to come up with a $3500 down payment to make payments on the account. I also have nine payday loans that I recieved to help with my debt.

Can some one give me or point me in the right direction to get #, fax # and correct address for : Arrowhead CashNet Instant Cash USA Route 66 AIP I am first contacting them all and letting them know that the accout is closed and I will be sending payments by money order and also sending them the wage garnishment revoking letter. Cash Net has already gotten more than 1/2 of their loan back so they better not EVEN go crazy. If I only have to pay principle balance then this all will be taken care of in the next two weeks, hopefully they all cooperate.

Has anyone been contacted by credit counseling of America who work with Attorney Richard A. Brennan? I filled out the free counseling by phone on this page and they contacted me and I wanted to know if it is the correct company, as this is debt consolidation Care. Please let me know.

Like a lot of people in this forum, I too got seriously caught up in payday loans and now I am having issues trying to "stay afloat". What is the best, legal way to stop them dead in their tracks and deal with them outside of expensive attornies fees up front, etc? Any and all advise would be greatly appreciated!
