Hey, Wouldn't it be cool to have our own DCC event in CA? We could meet in a central city--I was thinking probably down south somewhere, since it seems most everyone is from Southern CA, with the exception of me, of course. What do you all think? I think it would be fun!

Has anyone ever dealt with Alliance One. They are the collection agency for Capital One. They are quite rude and and borderline threatening.

I moved from Germany to the US about 7 months ago due to Military orders and had to get my house in order, wife had our 2nd baby, paid too much for rent, electric and other things. Took out a couple of loans and have had a terrible time. Credit use to be great with no problems but now, I could not get a loan for a piece of bubble gum.

I am in default on $24,000 in student loans. With interest and collection costs it's now over $50,000. I want to repay the money. I did it, I'm responsible. But I got a call from allied interstate that said I had to give them checking account drafts for a minimum of $425 a month or I would be would be garnished immediately without benefit of hearing. I'm told that I must sign a faxed note of some kind for them tommorrow or I'll be garnished immediately. I'm afraid of the effect this will have on my employer, and I'm not sure I have to sign anything with Allied Interstate on such notice.

My cousin is two months behind on her car payment and she said the bank calls her everyday demanding payment. I guess the bank told her that her car is in repo status. She hides her car everynight so they can't find it. The bank doesn't know she has a different job, so they won't know to look there. My question is, even though they are trying to repo her car and they can't find it; won't my cousin still get in some kind of trouble for doing this :?:

Ive been working to get rid of some debt very successfully and just paid my 4th debt off this year, (out of nine)i just received a call from northland group today ,its the first call ofcourse ive heard some bad things about them. I do know how these guys work, since its always a recording, only saying its a business matter. Whats the best way to deal with them, if I just paid something off and funds are low, Should I wait and call them when I do have enough money to pay a partial on the account I owe.

I like to get all my debt paid off. I am trying to find a company that will pay off all my debt and I can make monthly payments. please let me know if you can do this or ponit me in the right direction.

I am just curious for all the other states out there. Do you all see commercials on the TV advertising internet PDL companies? If so can you remember which ones you have seen. I saw one for CASHCALL today here in middle TN area. I would like to incoporate a blog entry regarding this usbject into my blog so any input would be appreciate. Also do you see alot of store front PDL advertised on the TV? Thanks
