Can anyone tell me if payday loans are legal in Mississippi?

this collection agency has purchased a charged off debt and has filed a claim with the national arbitration forum which i have never heard of before. so i got stressed out and called asset acceptance and negociated with them. They asked the forum for an amount $3000.00 more than what i originally owed. I was told that i had to pay 35% of the amount owed plus payments after that per month. I express the fact that I was unemployed and that the 35% I would have problems to get but I would try.

I can't get a lawyer and would appreciate any advice you can give me regarding all of the following. Here is my situation. I received a summons to file an answer and would like to know: 1. How do I answer? 2. Is it too late to request validation of debt? (answer is due to be filed with court on Oct. 6th) I did not learn about VODs until recently and am afraid it's a lost cause because I did not do it within the 30 days of initial notice from Asset Acceptance. 3. If it is not too late to fire off a VOD, where can I find a good example format letter to go by? 4.

Hi gang, I'm tired tonight so I'm sorry if I don't make any sense. Well, mom is still in the hospital. I visited her after work tonight. The hospital is about five minutes from work so it is convenient. They had messed her dinner order up so bad. I guess they don't understand that she has rectal cancer and can't have things like raw vegetables and stewed tomatoes. It looked disgusting! So, after an hour of barking we finally got her something bland. Well, I had to run to the store after that to pick up a few more things that she needed.

I am one of the CrediCure / Law Offices of Richard A. Brennan victims. I made sure they won't get any more money, but I am still two months behind on three of my creditors and one month behind on two. I managed to pay one off and paid the full amount due on a couple more. How can I recover from this? RAB said they would refund my account on 10-1. It didn't happen. I am just heartbroken over this mess. I was trying to do the right thing and it just turns around and kicks me in the butt.

Hello. I received a letter from a collection agency today about an old credit card. The credit card was opened in 1996 and I believe that it was closed around 1998. Well the card was never placed on my credit report as being charged off, and the collection agency told me that if I did not pay the amount due then in 30 days the account was going to go onto my credit report. Does this seem right? Can they do that. It has been around 8 years since then. Help. Thanks.
