I have credit card bills to pay and rent and a cell phone bill to pay. I made a very drastic mistake for a friend of mine.

received a call today from tony wolf, investigator for fredericl d kelly law firm, told me i was going to be arrested, a criminal charge had been filed against me, this is for a debt. he also called my work again and asked for a physical description of me becaise i was going to be arresred. called my sister too. i spoke with him and he told me he would call me whenever he felt like it and i was going to be arrested. whenever he wanted to and i was going to be arrested. john smith

Has anyone ever dealt with Universal Fidelity? I am really worried about this. I have a 2 year old debt with Sonic Payday for $1800 that has apparently just been turned over to Universal Fidelity for collection. I have received a letter from a Houston address and am getting calls from Dublin, Ohio. I have not yet spoken with anyone. Does anyone know if they will work out a payment plan, has anyone ever been taken to court by them. Just wondering if they will eventually send it to another agency, drop it, or really pursue a judgement.

All, I finished one of letters to one of my several pdl's and was hoping you could provide feedback. I modified the letter with the templates and other users examples from this board it was a tremendous help.

Hi. I tried logging in but could not remember my password. I hit the key, "forgot password?" and it stated to check my email for how to activate a new password. I have tried that several times and am not receiving an email (I have checked the e-mail I typed in several times, and it's correct). I also tried signing in as a new user, but the e-mail address I entered is already signed up. What should I do? (PS - I do remember talking awhile back to a credit counselor). Thanks.

I talked with CCCA yesterday about my payday loans. They are wanting to sign me up with the law firm of Richard Brennan for debt settlement. They will be sending me a packet in the mail, and we set up a payment to be taken out of my new checking account on October 2 so the lawyer can begin contacting the pdl's and arranging a settlement. After reading some info in this forum I'm not sure I'm doing the right thing. Seems like many have had bad dealings with the Brennan firm. In addition, I have some pdl fee's scheduled to be taken out on Sept.
