I have a debt collector contacting me and saying that he is going to take me to court over 3 payday loans I had back in 2010. The payday loan companies are as follows: SSM Group borrowed 250; paid 75 in finance charges M1Y Direct borrowed 250; paid 75 in finance charges JVC Processing borrowed 250; paid 75 in finance charges I never received any documentation in the mail regarding any of these debts.

I just received a call from an Al Simmons, states he is a locator for Nationwide. Asked if he could come by my work and drop off some paperwork. I told him no I have no idea who he is or what this is about. Seemed nice enough he apologized and said he would give me time to call them and discuss since I had no idea who they were. Anyway he gave me the number 877-631-9680 called s/w "Annie Nelson" I told her I wanted to know what this was regarding. States its from 2008 loan borrowed $300 and ended up paying back a total of $810 before I found out it was an illegal loan.

Thanks to the good people of this site, I have been able to shed numerous fraudulent payday loans and reduce my debt considerably. Now I am left with 4 legal installment loans: CashnetUSA ChecknGo CashCall SOS Loans All were for $2600 originally, current balances are around that.. Monthly payments total to about $1600, which I absolutely can't make. I have tried some negotiation for a reduced settlement and have gotten nowhere. My brother is suggesting bankruptcy as my only way out, but I am hoping for another less painful solution. Any ideas?

Hello, I have 4 PayDay loans (online) and one from Check Mate in AZ. Does anyone know if the Plain Green, MySilverSafe and PayDay Nation are legal lenders? Are there any special laws in AZ?

I had a Plain Green loan that I almost paid off before closing the account. It was sent to collections. I just calculated that I have already paid back the principal plus some of the interest that was in the agreement. 1) I live in Texas. Is that a legal loan for Texas? 2) What is the best way to get them to agree to the fact that the principal has been paid? I would write off the interest I had already paid as a learning experience but I want to get the collections company off my back.

My Ideal Gelt loan went to Alliance Asset Management. Alliance wants to charge me 1900 for a 1000 loan but they won't let me get on a payment plan with the settlement offer. What should I do now?

I realize from earlier posts that you are not given a warning on a bank levy. Per SOAPLADY's help... "You are never given warning on a bank levy. A debtor's checking and savings account are not exempt from a judgment creditor's levy under Texas law. Thus, the judgment creditor is free to secure a writ of execution through the court that granted the judgment. The writ of execution gives the judgment creditor the right to levy the debtor's checking and savings accounts.
