I have been feeling like I was the only one suffering from the PDL trap. After reading for several days other "real" people situations, I feel like there is now hope. I desperately need to get in touch with someone or T&C as I have read where some have had success with them. I currently have 5 PDL's. I am surprised to learn that each state has it limits to interests on these pdl's. I reside in NC and very iterested in learning more on my rigths. I will pay my princible and legal interest. Just need help getting there. I have registered and await any response. P.S.

Sorry for the long story but here goes. I am currently unmployed but going to a university using grants and student loans. I should be graduating in December and have a federal job waiting for me when I graduate. I had 2 credit cards from MBNA with my exwife in the late 1996 and I was the primary card holder. For some reason, these two credit cards got up to around $250 each then was sold to Acceptance Asset LLC because of non-payment and at the time, I did not know they sold the account. A few years ago, I got a notice from Asset Accept saying that I owe them $3,000.

I've posted several times in the past month or so. To sum things up, I pulled 2 credit reports and found many discrepancies and on the Experian report, found when the debts were "scheduled to continue on until..". I haven't sent any disputes to the CRAs yet, although I'll be working on it tomorrow. I'll be disputing the Equifax report since it has N/A on date opened, date of status, date of last payment. No information whatsoever. I had gotten a letter last month from Holloway & Moxley in Montgomery AL, saying that their client, Midland Credit, referred the past due account to them.

Guys, things are terrible right now. I was supposed to go on vacation this weekend, a long weekend in Pittsburgh. Tuesday night my husband had a pulminary embolism, and he has been in the hospital since..I don't know when he will be getting out. This is terrifying...He had one when he was 16..He's lucky to still be alive. He's been on coumadin since then. He's athletic, and in good shape..He has to be to prevent more blood clots. We thought everything was great, then he had this bad one Tuesday. There is some damage to his lung, we don't know what the extent is yet.

I recently received a letter from a NJ court saying that they were garnishing my paycheck for a case against me by Palisades Collections. I have never received anything (calls or letters) from palisades collections about any debt. do they have a right to go directly to garnishing pay without any actions beforehand?

Hello. We are new to this forum. On approximately February 7th we called Compass Bank to inform them of another fraudulent charge on our checking account (they have record of this in there system and the 1st one about 2 weeks earlier they fixed and we never filled out forms). They said the money was really still there, that the company was checking funds.

Any suggestions for someone that has a low FICO score and would like to purchase a house or condo? I am working towards raising my score and paying off old debts, but was hoping that someone could suggest a mortgage company that works with people in my situation?

I was wondering if anyone knows what happened to Roxette??? I know that I've been in and out alot, but I've noticed that I haven't seen Roxette posting--so I did a search and found that she hasn't posted since May. I just wanted to pass along a call I had with Angela Bell at Sonic (actually she has been pleasant compared with some of the other people I have dealt with in the past) I told her I know the next step would be to try and garnish my wages, she indicated it is illegal to do that in the state of texas. But she still has the right to contact my employer. Any ideas where this new tactic might be coming from ?

Does anyone know this collection agency? Southern Empire has called my folks and told them I was going to be arrested for fraud. I know they're lying, but my mom was mortified. My understanding is that debt collectors are not to disclose any information to anyone other than the debtor about the reason for the call. Clearly they crossed the line and I'd like to do something about it. This is a collector for a payday loan company that I paid off over a year ago, and haven't heard anything since, until this disturbing phone call.
