Ok, I am in debt settlement program and I get letters from CA's (now asking for 60% settlements) they claim they don't work with debt settlement companies, but when I hang up on them, they turn around and offer the DEBT Settlement company the same offer!!!!! WHY lie to me about it, when they know they work with them? I don't understand the concept. I am beginning to think I could have done the settlements on my own and already settled two accts for full. I am 3800.00 into the program, but I hate to turn back now. I won't get the money back I already paid in.

Has anyone used this program. I am thinking of doing it, but am very scared. Thanks in advance.

I was just called at my job, by a person named Mr. Edwards, he told me that a warrant would be issued within 72 hours...he said I had defaulted on my loan...to a company named Payday Advance, for a random amount...I have had cash advances before but I've paid them off...I don't want to be arrested at work... :( he was very rude, and was yelling, and just kept insulting me... I didn't get any information from him...I'm very scared...

Is there a place that I can call that will tell me, how much money I owe to a cash advance place? Does that make sense? I thought I had paid them all off, but yesterday, a guy called me at work and told me they were issuing a warrant in 72 hours, because I hadn't paid them.

I recieved a call at my house last night wanting to settle for $500 on a $300 loan that was started in 11/05. (And that was a discount she told me as I owed $700+) When I asked for validation, she told me to go on line to the payment history. I had looked at this before and you can not tell the amount borrowed or interest and fees because there was advances on the amount. When I asked her if they were licensed in the state of Ohio she told me yes I had the load didn't I. I don't remember seeing them as licensed.

hi i have 2 payday loans i will not be able to payback on thier due date-8-3-06. my checking account is now $500 overdrawn and it will be closed since i cant pay that mony back either. i am on disability and only get $600 a month. the total for both loans is $599 i had to take out one to pay back the other. i am in a hole i cant get out of. i am in kentucky and dont know if the law will say that i have commited check fraud or if they will arrest me for no being able to pay the money. i am confused and scared. i dont know how i got myself into this mess.

My name is Clarissa Chargualaf I am from the island of Guam. I moved out to the United States in hope of a better life. I have never heard of a payday loans till I came out here about 3 years ago. I fell into the payday loan nightmare. I am 32 years old and I feel so horrible. I even got my boyfriend into getting pay day loans and I feel so awful. Both of our names are terrible in credit. I even made his credit card go delinquent. I sometimes feel like I am such a terrible person with no sense of morals.

how can a child support arrearage that is due to permanent disablity be discharged? my federal medical annuity is being garnished and these 'kids' are now in their 30s?

I had 5-6 payday loans---I defaulted on these loans--guess I dont have to explain why--also, I am in between jobs--all were very nice to make arrangements except one---HE IS THREATENING A WARRANT FOR THEFT BY DECEPTION--i tried to make an arrangement but he said I have 2 days to come up with money--and i dont have any I really dont. I start my new job soon--gave him the date I could pay which is the 4th of august. But he continues to threaten. Anyone ever heard of this, what should I do??
