Hi, I am wondering if I am responsible for any credit card bills belonging to my deceased spouse. None of the cards were joint accounts, I have not signed on any of them. Looking at our credit card reports, I have not been penalized for his non-payments. Therefore, are they my responsibility? Regards, Allison

I know I have seen the answer somewhere before in the forums,but can't find it.My question,can a CA who is collecting for a doctors office put a hold on your state income tax refund and keep it unless you pay them? I was thinking of contacting oc and talking with them,I have been making payments to CA,but unless I pay them in full by July 7,they will take my state refund.Thanks for your help...Karen

Is it normal and common that the first payment to a consolidation company goes towards a set-up fee. I spoke with a gentleman last week and he informed me that my first payment would be for their set-up fee and that the followoing month they would start distrubuting towards my creditors along with a monthly fee. Now I have dealt with two other consolidation companys and they started distributing with my first payment I made.

This company has been contacting me since around Feb for my Capital One account that had gone into collection. I am just wondering if anyone else every delt with them before and what kind of exp they had with them. So far they only send me any type of letter every 3 months and the last one was only cause I requested one. They call me nearly every week trying to get me to make a payment. Last time they called wanting another payment I informed them I wouldn't be paid again till the end of the month. They called me back Monday saying they are ready for their end of the month payment.

I am terminating the company I currently work for. I used to travel for them a lot, and because of that, they issued me a Corporate Credit Card (through USBank). The card is in my name, but they did not do a credit check or anything like that...they just gave it to me. I made some personal charges to the card, and always made the payment when it was due. Now, that I am leaving the company, I cannot pay the reamining balance of $2000.00. The company doesn't know about this yet, but what are their options when they find out?

I am trying to get an address or fax number for these two companies. I have defaulted on both and would like a statement of my accounts to see if I have over-paid. I went to CTC website for contact information, but never heard back. I can't find anything on Geneva Roth. This company was taking $90 a pop from my account, but there was no contact information (at least that is what my bank said). I'm guessing Geneva Roth is a parent company for one of my PDLs, but which one?? Does anyone have any info on these two??

As you all know we have consolidated our debts with T&C. Two of the credit cards have balances low enough we can maybe start negoitations with the OC. One card balance is $524.00 and the other is $676.00. Would it be smarter to contact the OC and try to settle the amount, or keep paying through the consolidation?
