i just got a summons for a credit card loan- providian- does anyone know what happens when you go to court ....do they make you pay all the money at once or if the put a judgment on you do you still have to pay it all at once? anyone have this problem?

I have taken out some PDL's online and was wondering where and whom would be able to tell me if they are illegal in the state of Ohio? and if they are, what to do about them?

I'm currently living with my parents and am 23 years of age. I lost my job and am unable to work do to a medical problem. Because of this, I was unable to pay some credit card debt. A collection agency left an answering machine message stating that I was being sued and that I should contact them within the next couple hours or else.

WE are in serious debt....70,000 to be exact. I can no longer swing it. WE are behind in credit card payments beginning this month. I am terrified of when the phone's going to start ringing. I investigated a dmp only to find out the payment was even more than what we are paying now. Can't do it. What can happen to our home if we fall behind on credit cards? Our mortgage is always paind on time. Should we file bankruptcy?

I posted a question a few weeks ago why Innovis felt they were exempt from the fact act. My query was based on the fact that their website specifies that residents of certain states are entitled to a free copy of their report, but made no mention of the rest of us, or even of the FACT act as a whole. So, I sent a letter off (below) and in a little over a week they sent my report to me with out any question. If you want your Innovis report, feel free to use my text below as a starting point for your request.

I am depressed because I am unable to pay this month my payment to debt settlement. This is my first month in 8 months. Reason being???? :cry: I damaged my truck this morning and backed into a chainlink fence causing 300.00 dollars worth of damage. I called debt settlement and they are defaulting this month and I am not penalized for it. They tried to assure me that things sometimes come up, however I am severly depressed over the whole ordeal. Payments are to resume as usual for month of July. Am I being to hard on myself?
