ID Info stolen from employer, What next?

19 years 3 months ago
I received a letter this week that a Human Resources employees' personal computer was stolen in a apparent burglary attempt late last month. That computer contained a company file with the Names, Birth dates and Social Security numbers of 30,000 employees. The company has arranged for affected employees to have a year of Equifax 3 in 1 credit monitoring for free. I have taken this offer and signed up. In addition I have taken a precautionary extra step of placing a temporary fraud alert with the three CRA's (my company recommended this action).

Judgement questions

19 years 3 months ago
There's a new credit card judgement for $10,000 on my sister's credit report. She doesn't work. 1.So, the judgement owner can't garnish her wages now, but can they if she gets a job? 2.How would they know she got a job? 3.Can they get into her bank accounts and with draw money? 4.If she marries can the new husband be made legally responsible to pay the judgement? 5.If she just wants to bankrupt this judgement, will it go away for ever? thanks so much.

Has anyone heard of this, what I am sure is a collection agency, in their travels? I don't know who they are calling on behalf of as I don't owe anyone anything outstanding.. They have been calling at least 3 x a day for the last few days including 2 x yesterday, Saturday of all days. Any feedback? JB

Just a thought....

According to Preferred Payday it is against the law to hold a two checks from the same checking account, even under two different people's names. (Ex.. a joint account) So does that mean the every other place me and my husband each have an account with are breaking the law or is it just a company policy thing that she claims is a law? Just a side note, things seem to be shaping up with T&C, although we were threatened with a law suit in civil court by two PDL's, one of which had already accepted the deal with T&C when they sent the letter.

True Logic Financial

Updated February 18, 2004: The FCC announced today that it has received nearly 10,000 complaints since the Do Not Call Registry came into effect October 1, 2003. The FCC has also issued eight citations for Do Not Call Registry violations. I have been called over and over again by a Stephanie Jones (1-877-337-3099) True Logic Financial, Colorado. I have gone to their site and complained about this person calling me for the past 2-3 weeks @7pm or 8pm -- I let the answering machine take it but if I answer it is a recording and a series of ref. numbers...no way to talk to her.

please answer quick question

19 years 3 months ago
I have written all my credit cards to close my accounts, due to suddenly not being able to pay. (25,000$ in cc debt) One cc co. said they will not close my account. (Perhaps They'll may sue me), but my question is Please-- the actual cc co. said they would never close until paid off and doesn't look like they are "charging it off"-- Will in 7 years from the last day of payment (activity) will that negative go off my credit report? Remember, they said they would never close until paid off and doesn't look like they are "charging it off" Thank you in advance.
