Help! I've just been served a court summons here at work for a credit card bill. What do I do now? There isn't any type of court date on the summons, just when the summons was filed. Also, along with the papers, there was information on a Alternative Dispute Resolution option. This is all foreign to me! Do I need to get a lawyer? Any help is appreciated!

Can you prove to me that this in not a scam and will get me in more trouble than I am in now?!

Hi, I recently set up a plan with T & C, consolidating some old credit card debt and payday loans. The payday loans are all in good standing at this point. T & C told me to stop payment, which I did by ID#, as suggested on this site. They said that when the payday loan companies do not get my payments on Friday 5/12, T & C will then be able to contact them and negotiate. I am really really nerous for them to not get their payments. What will happen? Can anyone tell me? I am really scared they will sue me or harass me. Thanks.

I have been paying Riscuity a bill collector for about 9 months. Suddenly they stopped sending me invoices. I stopped paying. they called me up and said I had to pay and that "we don't send invoices anymore." I continued not to pay, they called, I told them get me an invoice...all to no avail. Is this legal? I think they are shady. Someone else on your forum said Riscuity threatened him/her with arrest if they didn't pay. A fake detective called me too at one time. Who are these people in the Philipines? I think it sounds suspect.

I'm in the process of trying to clean up some debt I had from breaking a lease with my old apartment complex. There were three people on the lease and I have already paid for my third of the debt however it is still on my credit because we all three signed the lease. I'm having trouble getting the other two to pay their share, and the collection agency can only do so much, as they haven't been willing to speak to them. Any suggestions?

I just recieved a phone call from Police Protection at 615-383-4260 and the person conducting the call asked if I would be interested in donating to the funds of the fallen officers families. I could either do a check by phone or charge it to a credit card. I told the gentleman very nicely that we can't afford to donate right now and he stated "Are that heartless that you can't donate $.50 and I said no, would you like to pay my bills for a month and then you would understand whi I can't afford to donate. He told me I was cold hearted and hung up. I don't feel I am cold hearted.

I had a credit card with this company and included them in my proposal with T & C, of course they have been calling me non-stop at home, but not at work yet. Then I check my email and I get an auto email from them saying that my payment was posted on 5/5/06. They called my house all weekend, I thought once they accepted payment from you they would stop calling? Was I mistaken?

Hello everyone, I had the most interesting call last thursday. Right there on my caller ID it said the call was from Ted Crosby and Assoc. I took the number down and let the caller record himself on my CallWave recorder and lo and behold I played it back for the FBI in Jacksonville Florida. A wonderful man took down all the info I had and told me that he would call them. Of course he got the run around where the name of the company was not represented. He used the extention I gave him and the man that answered was very rude.

:roll: I have been reading these posts and have just joined. Does this mean they can help get me off the Payday Loan roller-coaster? I spend 95% of my week trying to figure out who I owe this week and how I am going to pay them. Can someone really help me?
