I have 4 credit cards in consolidation,and two of them are charged off.Since the money is now going to the collection agency and they are not on my credit report,do they notify the orginal creditor that payments are being made,so payments can be put on my credit report,or at some point does the orginal creditor get taken off the CR and replaced by the collector.This is my first time dealing with collection agencies and I not sure how this works.I remember reading a post about the same account cant be reported twice.The two credit cards have been charged off for 3 months now and the orignial cr

OK...I am a former debt collector, so I know the domestic laws here pretty well. I have 6 outstanding payday loans. So far, only two of the companies have been really harrassing me. Check this out: Mypaydayloan.com has an operations center in Salt Lake City, however, they claim to operate under the laws of Costa Rica. It is my understanding that even if they are operating outside of the United States, that they are still required to abide by the fdcpa, since they are doing business in this country?

One of my payday companies, Paycheck now, couldn't wait for more payments and sent my account to American Debt Collection. I got the letter today. I wonder if anyone had dealt with them, and how are they? The wording of the letter implies that I must pay the amount in full within 30 days. The interesting thing is Paychecknow was the very last payday loan I took. I only paid one renewal fee before I closed my accounts, so really, I have to give them some credit, as they were straightforward and non-threatening. Anyway, the loan was for $300.
