Is a company licenced???

20 years 1 month ago
Could someone please tell me how I would go about finding out if a pay day company is licenced or not in Ontario? I took out a pay day loan with a company in Ontario and they operated under a specific name. I am in the process of fighting with them because they are trying to charge me a different amount.

commerce bank checkings account

20 years 1 month ago
I was wondering if anyone on the forums has a commerce bank checkings account and are dealing with payday loans. I tried closing my account down last week but somehow it stayed open and all the debits went through making my account negative. I was wondering if anyone went through the same thing and was able to dispute it. Any help is appreciated, thanks.

If i can get caught up and get a few paid off i will be fine. I have gotten help from my parents in the past, and i need to be a man and do things on my own. Query on DebtCC points

20 years 1 month ago
As some of your valuable community members have noted some times a post gets more debtcc points and sometimes a similar post gets less debtcc points. I wanted to explain how the debtcc points work so that such questions get answered :D The points to be awarded for a post are determined by a software/algorithm and not by hand. The software/algorithm looks at the following factors to decide how many points to give: * The history of other posts made by that author. * How helpful other people are finding posts made by that author.

Debt Managment

I have a tip to share that has worked for me very well in the past. When it comes to staying out of debt I give myself at least 24 hours to think about it before I buy it. Always! Half the time I am glad I did. If you have any to add please feel free here. Ashley Url removed as per forum guidelines - Vikas

Spousal issues with debts

20 years 1 month ago
Can one spouse consolidate and the other not? My husband is suffering from the loss of his business. It was sole proprietorship - he is personally responsible for a lot of credit card debt and several outstanding bills related to the business. We are trying to avoid bankruptcy and I would like to keep my credit intact. Thanks,, Angel Day

After experiencing some difficulties with my husbands credit recenty I thought I should check out mine too. I have not had a job in over a year and no new credit acct's so was very curious as to what my cr had to show me. On my transunion cr, not the other 2, I have 2 open accounts.

Past due acct. possibly past SOL, to pay or not to pay?

20 years 1 month ago
:? I started receiving collection letters (my husband, that is) for lvnv funding llc stating that he owed $1410.00. The original creditor is listed as Aman-Norwest(wells fargo)F and the current creditor is LVNV Funding LLC with payment to be remitted to First Performance Recovery Corp. The first letter we received was about 6 months ago. If I am correct this is for a debt that was incurred in 1997 shortly after we got married and moved to Germany. After receiving about 3 letters stating the acct.
