I received an email from these people saying my loan applicated was being reviewed. I got into payday loan trouble last year, so I KNOW for a fact I did not and would not every apply for another payday loan. I don't even have a checking account anymore. What do I need to do? How did they get my info?

I was watching my local news tonight,and they had a story about a local woman, who just found out that her health insurance that she has been paying into for over a year,is a scam.It is going on all over the place,this lady has cancer and over $100000 in medical bills,and didnt find out until now.The company is under investigation,but they have already left town.

I just have a question, are collections agencys allowed to run your credit, without your permission?

I am not sure about this, but if you are making monthly payments even if it's $10, then isn't it considered harassment if the agency continually calls regarding your bill? I have a medical bill that went to collection 2 yrs. ago, and I have been making monthly payments of $10-20 but I keep getting calls regarding this bill. Now I know they want all of their money and will get it but this the only way I can pay it off. Is this considered harassment, when I am paying my debt and still being called at least 2-3 times a week? I would just like to know what to do? Thank you.

Okay...here's the scenario: my boyfriend had a crappy car that he paid too much money at a buy here/pay here auto mall. He'd only had the car about 2 years, and it was literally about to fall apart. So he and I went shopping for a new car. We got a beautiful new car, and we couldn't be happier with it. The salesman at the legit dealership we bought the new car from gave us over $4000 for our trade-in, which was well over what was owed on the old car.

I had an account with MBNA and due to unfortunate events I couldn't pay it off. I've had 2 debt collection agencies call me asking to pay this account off. i didn't realize until today that it was the same account and that i've paid it off this past November and paid on it before to another collection agency also. And I also foound out that my account was sold to at least 2 or 3 different agencies. Is this legal? What can i do other than fax the release letter to the credit places to take it off my credit? Help!!!!!!

I called payday connection this morning and spoke with Michael in collections. I asked for a breakdown...interest annually, how much I have paid, original loan amount...etc. He asked what it was for, and I advised him that I need it for debt validation. He then advised me to look at the website and he wasnt going to provide anything more than that!Then he hung up on me! What a jerk! What recourse do I have now? I know that the original loan was for 500.00 and I got it on 11/21/05. They have been taking 150.00 every 2 weeks since and the balance is still 650.00!

Morning everyone, I am so glad I found this site. Here is the dilemma. I had taken out a loan with Paragon Funding a while back. So I get a call on last week from Sam Cobbs (a man with a foreign accent) from Jacobi and Mayors. He said that if I did not send a payment of 685.00 by noon, I would have my background checked and if I had any outstanding loans I would be arrested for fraud. Of course I became nervous. And I wired them 180.00 which is all I had. Unfortunately I did not think to do a search until I returned from work. I feel so stupid!
