The first payday loan was for an emergency -- the second to help with bills -- and the third to help pay the others. This is scary! For the first time I cannot afford to pay off my payday loans ~~ or the interest. No paycheck is available to me again until the midle of January. What should I do? I'm scared! I plan to honor my debts, but how can I do this? Please, help!

Hi all. I got a letter from asset acceptance on Tue Nov 22, 2005 that was supposedly closed Nov 15, 1991 from the state of Illinois that was supposedly sold Oct 26, 1992. As per what I saw here in the forums I sent a letter to them certified mail asking for validation of this debt as this was something from my previous marriage and lord only knows where the receipts are from getting it paid etc. The letter was sent on Nov 23, 2005 and which was signed for on Nov 29, 2005.

Have a collections agency demanding payment of roughly $4000 in full on an account that was charged off. They suggested I might be able make two payments of $2000. Either way, I don't have that kind of cash laying around. Is a debt consolidation company an appropriate place to turn to in this situtation (as I have other debt that I could be taken care of as well) or am I just kind of screwed?

I've been doing some more reading and I think I have confused myself once again. I'm sure with these online payday lenders, I probably signed a voluntary wage assignment. I'm trying to find a website that would explain it in the state of Ohio. Should I contact my payroll department to ask them to contact me before processing such a thing? Just in case it might happen with Sonic or someone. Does a digital signature count?

Today I received a call from Jenni at T&C and she stated that all payday lenders had confirmed and agreed to the amounts they offered. You would not believe the weight lifted off of my shoulders. Look who's laughing now, all the collection agencies that have tried to get us to pay them twice the amount owed is getting nothing. All payments are going to the original lenders Jenni stated. It is a good feeling to have this demon off my back. I have learned my lesson and I will never get tangled up in the web of payday loans again.
