They called me about a past due with a payday loan. They would not give me an address nor a fax number. They would not give me any information and threatened to contact my employer because I used the company's email to retrieve a payday loan. They said this was fraud and they would take papers out on me by the end of the day if I did not wire them the money. Is this legal

Could anyone share their debt consolidation stories of success and failure if they get the chance? I've got about $5K in credit card debt and don't have a steady job. I'm concerned about calling up some random agency and them doing the fast talking thing and before I know it, I'm in worse than before. Any input is helpful, but specifically, any suggestions on the RIGHT agencies to use and how to get a single, lower-interest rate monthly payment out of two very high rate credit cards? Ok gang, I pulled all three credit reports for me and my husband and there is absolutly no collection agency's reporting. All of our credit cards are showing with the original creditor. In the inquires part, it is showing a report being pulled by Encore, United Legal Corporation, cbe group. These are the collection agencies that called and demanded payment and stated that they had the original account, funny thing is, they never validated the debt and only had excuses of why they don't validate.

Do these people ever stop calling you? I had a loan that defaulted because we are working with Town & Country on consolidating but this woman, Suki Hilton, from Sonic won't stop calling. I sent a cease & desist letter and even had someone from Town & Country call them. We have made 1 payment to them and are planning on paying them back end of January/early February but have not told them that yet. I wonder if they've stopped calling others? I am going to pay them just not right now.

I would like to know if this company is legit? I have recieved several phone calls by different numbers. I spoke to a female who claimed to be from this company. This female laughed at me when she asked me for my debit card information. I am very careful about giving out information over the phone. I am afraid of being scammed.The woman I spoke to seemed very rude to me. Please advise me if this is legit?? The females name was Cecila Sanchez.The number that keeps calling my home is 877-528-2616.

What do you do when you discover there are CA entries on your credit report and do not remember ever being contacted by the CA either by phone or in writing? I only discovered these entries when reviewing my credit report. Sad to say, but I didn;t even know I could do that until recently.I disputed one of them and they verified to Experian. But I have never had any contact with these people. And I do not think I owe the debt. Any suggestions? Can they still be made to validate the debt? BTW, these entries are a few years old--don't you think they would have been contacting me?????

Has anyone ever heard of the Seta Corporation E-Z pay? My wife received a collection notice fro NCO Financial Systems today on behalf of them for $148.00 (+/-). She has no recollection of ever doing business with any one by either of those names. Of course I already sent the Validation letter (CMRR), but just curious if any one knew who this SETA Corp. is.... I suspect its either a id theft thing, or a debt that is way out of the SOL as it was addressed to her maiden name.

Have recieved several calls, no message, from the following phone number, as recorded on CallerID. No name - Shows Unavailable Number displayed - 847-281-3020 All calls recieved lately have been 2x a day, for several days, no message. Then again, answering machine not hooked up yet. Had answering machine off so I could answer any job related calls. BTW: Start new, full time job on Jan 2!! Slightly better pay and MUCH better benefits package! Anyway, information on above number is appreciated. Searches I have tried have all come up empty.... Thanks,
