I also receive a letter from United Legal Corp yesterday November 11. There is the round postmark circle on the envelope that says "Jacksonville FL" but that is it, NO DATE (how is that possible??). I opened it and the date of the letter is October 11, in other words, I received it Nov 11 and it's dated Oct 11. It seems this may be their way around giving me 30 days to send a validation. Says it's regardintg National Title Loans, I assume it's for a payday loan, maybe one from Ellis Crosby, although I don't recognize the name.

The more research I do on debt consolidation vs. debt settlement the more confused I become. Does consolidation reduce the amount you owe at all? In several consolidation programs I've looked at they say they MAY be able to lower the amount you owe. How does this differ from settlement? Thanks!!

I took out a $300 loan and have already paid $550. They say I still owe $337 to pay my loan off!! This should be illegal -- I'm not againt paying interest but this is stealing! If I close my account and don't pay the remaining $337, do they have a leg to stand on to post it on my credit?

Hi, we are seriously thinking about using T&C associates to help us do debt consolidation. Is anyone familiar with them and if so has your experience been good and fair. I talked to them today and it almost seems "too good to be true." We have several payday loans and they tell me they can deal with all of them. Please let me know your opinions.
