I have one signature loan worth $4500 and I pay $80 / month. But now I want to consolidate my signature loan. Can I do this? :(

I know there were a few bounced checks in the past and wanted to see its effect on my credit report. I pulled my credit report and saw nothing was posted in it. Can you please tell my why it is not appearing in my copy?

I pulled my credit report from the three bureaus and saw a number of open accounts with zero balance. Shall I consider closing those accounts? Also, I saw that there were some incorrect entries not common in all the reports. One credit report looks different from the other one. My question to you is that if I fix the errors of one of my report, shall the other two reports be updated automatically?

I am facing an unusual problem, not sure if you can help me! I am living at New York and my fiancé is at Mexico, Costa Rica. He was badly injured in storms; Wilma charged a high toll from him, since he was traveling by road at that time. I have decided to visit him and spend some days at his place helping him to come out from the strain. I've few student loans and I've always tried to keep them current. I've not missed a single installment yet. I'm afraid if I leave my place, I won't be able to maintain them and they'll turn delinquent.

I have been over my head for years, last year it really got bad with work and my bank account got less and less, and so I used cards more and more.. I made a mistake in my check book that took 2 years to catch up to me and I missed payments for 2 months on cards last fall..

I left college in 1998 with a bunch of student debt and credit card debts. My cc accounts were sent to collection and I paid off some of those already, rests are still behind me. Meanwhile I took few payday loans. These payday loans are really sharks, you know, they create a circle of debts and I was trapped. Long story short, somehow I managed to pay these payday loans. Presently I owe credit card debts and student debts. Credit card accounts are under collection, but nobody ever contacted me for these student loans. Please suggest me what can I do to improve my credit.

Hi there everyone, I have a total of unsecured debt of 25,000. I been considering taking out a personal loan to pay the debts all off and have to make one monthly payment towards one thing instead of 6 different things -- and only be paying interest off and nothing else. Now, I've called a couple of credit unions and banks and the loan officers I spoke to advise against taking out a personal loans as they have a very high interest rate and given the amount I want to take with a not a such a stellar credit rating -- seems impossible.

Sometimes its easy to be negative, especially when dealign with collections. WE all see day in and day out people posting horror stories about this collection agency or that. You can become hardened and assume that they are all crooked. While no one likes to be collected on, most likely its happeneng becuse of something we did (or didn't do). So my question is, have you dealt with any collection agencies that are "Good"? That know and operate within the laws? That are willing to work with you to resolve the problem rather than harass, threaten and intimidate?

If I dispute the validity of a debt after receiving the initial collection agency letter, can the agency report the debt to the credit bureaus without validating the debt with their client. ( The creditor has admitted their mistake to me over the phone and agrees that it was their error in sending the account out for collection.)
