once i get current again with a credit card company, will my credit report still show that i was once late by 180 days? If so, how bad is this for my overall credit, if the account is paid off and says "paid as agreed"?

Has anyone had any contact with this company? They left me a message stating that they needed to speak with me regarding and urgent business matter and left the number 800-965-2571. I will call them back but wanted to see if anyone else had feedback on them. Thank you.

im in serious debt problems and ive tried everything to lower repayments some of the creditors have been brilliant but the ones i try my hrdest to lower just shout abuse at me. im really scared about going to court and me and my partner are getting so stressed and upset as our income is low and we just cant do it. ive never been to court before could someone please help me. i cant get a loan or sell anything as i have nothing.

I have spoken with an attorney, and because my Chapter 13 case is really quite simple (no secured debts, veno property of value) and I am very organized with my paperwork, she seems to think it possible for me to file pro se. For this reason, I am pondering filing my own petition before the 17th. That is, if I will not be able to afford the attorney's fees. I know everything that I need and have all the proper forms (already completed, even), but I wonder if anyone has had any experience composing the repayment plan.

Hi. I'm very new to all of this. I am in debt out the wazoo due to a business deal gone bad. I just negotiated with one of my credit card companies for a settlement of like $4,000 less than I owe. If I choose to take the settlement offer, I realize that a "settlement" note will appear on my credit....but what does that do to my score and how does it affect me getting credit in the future? I'd rather go this route than bankruptcy I think. Thanks.

My landlord has just forwarded a debt to collection agency. Landlord is asking for the damages which i am saying that i have not done. LL is backing the same with invoices of new installation, my argument is Invoices says it is replaced, it does not say that it was damaged by me. Fact is i have not done damage, but i am pressed here and dont know what to do..? can u help ?

I just came back to my apartment and I found a hand written note on my door. It says to call a toll free number (877-836-3100, Nashville, TN), to ask for this such person at such ext. It says it was urgent and there was a case number. I called during the night and it looks like the name of the office is : Grant & Bagel Associates and that "your call may be recorded for legally purpuses" Can either collection agenices or law firm do this?, just leave a hand written note at yoru place? I file banckcrupcy about 2 years ago, so, not much money I own.
