I think my husband responded once and now we keep getting a recording everyday I did the block phone numbers with IRS and it still keeps calling me. Getting very frusated. How can I get them to quit calling me? I wanted to warn person asking whose number not to respond to it.

Discover card has told me that it is against the law for them to change my credit report to paid in full or to delete the entire entry. I have worked out a 40% settlement, but it seems that charging off 60% of the debt doesn't leave my credit report in much better shape than bankrupcy. Can someone please help explain this, is it really illegal?

how bad is having several of these on your report? I have worked out a deal with multiple creditors to pay 50% of the balance and they will accept it as settled in full for less than the full balance. One line of the letter they sent me states exactly "Your phone call and payment of the 40% settlement amount will satisfy your entire debt of this account." Can this line be used to go back later and dispute any derogatory information?

Someone called me this morning from a company called Investors Plus and told me I was approved for a $5,000 loan. I had filled out applications online, but not for this company. The told me they had offices in Colorado, UK, and Jamaica. But in order to get the loan I would need to either have a co-signer of send in $600.00 for insurance. I looked them up on the BBB website, but nothing came up. I can't afford to lose $600 if this is a scam. Did anyone ever hear of this company??

Has anyone heard of A.S. Associates out of Houston TX? I received a call last night after 5PM indicating that I had until 10AM this Friday to settle the account for over $800 or there would be an arrest warrant. "Henry" from A.S. said he had an affidavit that would be forwarded to the prosecutor at 10AM Friday unless I paid. This was a bad choice on my part to take a pay day loan. It got out of hand with withdrawals from my account that I did not recognize that I had to close my account. I want to settle but the only contact I've been able to have the the loan company has been via e-mail.

Does anyone know of a good place that I can donate food,clothes that I don't wear anymore and my kids can't fit a place that I can donate to the families who lost everything in the hurricane to those people and how would they be able to accept those donations?I have went through stuff I can't fit nomre and my kid's can't either and it is ready for donation I just need to know where can i drop off this stuff to the famnilies in need can somebody give me a suggestion?
