I started out with 11 payday loans this morning and now I have 10. This is such a miracle. Today was doomsday for me. I had decided that I would call all of the companies that I had loans with and try to make payment arrangements. All of my loans are current none have defaulted but I did close out my checking account so that they could no longer take out payments. Well anyway...the one company that I had the smallest amount which is $260, I decided to call first. I was actually gonna pay them off in full since I owed such a small amount.

Hello everyone, I'm a young guy with a heap of medical bills (around $10,000 uninsured) with student loan payments as well. I've consolidated my credit card debt to a payment of 100/mo which works just fine. The issue I'm having is with the medical. I was making about 18,000 a year when I got these bills, and not very wisely had put them off. Collectors are now coming for that money, and I'm not sure what my best option would be. I'm currently paying about 300/350 a month and just got the major bill in of around $6,500.

So I am going to try to contact original creditor to see what they say. Then, if have to, will contact the collection agency. I plan on paying in full to end this. Is it safe to pay them with a personal check since this will be the only time I need to deal with them?

I live outside US, went to a US hospital for emergency treatment, when discharged I noticed lots of problems with my bill, and told the hospital. I continued treatment in another hospital. when came back to home a non US debt collector contacted me to get the remaining amount of the debt charging $4000 USD collection fee and about $150 USD interest in the first notice. I have been contacting this debt collector by fax explaining that my bill had ridiculous charges and that I asked the hospital to audit the bill and send it to me but never did so.

I am being sued for a debt that I am certain has passed the statute of limitations. I can get nothing from the attorney's office suing me. I have written a letter stating that "Pursuant to Missouri Supreme Court Rule 56.01 I hereby request Production and Inspection of Documents as related to the pending case", which I have referenced in the letter. The circuit court does not have any forms that are required for discovery. I've never even received validation for this debt. Are they required by law to respond to my discovery letter (sent certified mail)?
