When I moved a year ago, I was jobless x2 mos. This put every loan I had plus 2 credit cards onto the backburner as my primary concern was survival. Now I am in a position to begin repayment, have caught up on my loans, can support myself and pay rent, have paid 1 CC down, but have not yet paid it off. I have 2 other credit cards that I want to pay off, and they are the problems: 2 Capitol 1 accts: C1A and C1B... C1A is still with Capitol 1. We have set up payment arrangements, and we will be in close contact until the account is paid off. C1B is the issue.

do you also take dr.bills as part of debts and how much debt do you need to have before filing?

my husband and I have over 20,000 in credit card debt. We pay more than 600 month on minimum payments. We make about $1000 per month. Please help and point us the the right direction. We don't want to file for bankruptcy!!

I moved to Canada a few months ago and still have unpaid credit cards (medical bills) in US for total amount around $7000. I am not looking to return to US. This is not big amount for the credit cards companies and it doesn't look like a big amount of money to search the person outside of US. Do you think they can find me in Canada or will look for me in Canada? If I will buy a property in Canada can the US creditors somehow arrest my property and sale it to get the payment? What are my chances to be found in Canada? I appreciate you help, Joe.

I have recently settled a debt with this company. Now, when I need a letter to send to the credit agencies they are nowhere to be found. Another company ARS is after me now for the same debt. What am I going to do? Trish
