Do I need to send the collection company both the e-mail that I sent them and a det validity letter? Also is cash call and quick loans legal in california? I'm not sure if I should continue to pay their high interest or try to settle. Please advise me. Thank you.

Hi All, Got a question about the credit report. I just got my latest credit report from Experian. I noticed that Capital One show a date updated as of 02/12 on one of the charge off I have with them. However I compare it to some of my older credit report. The date updated is different. Does this date updated entry affect the SOL? Does it affect anything at all? Thanks in advance.

My wife has a credit card that was charged off and bought by Asset Acceptance. We have never responded to their phone call or letters. A few days ago, my wife started receiving letters from attorneys in our area about assistance. I did a little research at our county court and found that on 06/26 they filed lawsuit for "Breach of Contract", however my wife has yet to be served summons.
