Can someone tell me if Pack Management Group LLC aka SKW Capital LLC V is legal in Illinois? I had a loan with them 2+ years ago and PAID it. Monday I received a call from S & S recovery Services, (CA) saying I ow $682.33. Just received the notice in the mail today. This was two years or so ago, and I have since changed banks. It will be a real hassle to go back and retrieve the bank information, do I have to prove that I paid it? Help!

I have had calls from three different "mediation" groups this week, trying to collect on old payday loan debts. Now, I worked with a consolidation agency and paid all loans to the best of my knowledge. Maybe some were left with a balance, but regardless, I am not giving these scammers a red cent. The way that they threaten and harass (they have called THREE family members!) is a clear indication that they are not legit. I am just curious though as to what happened all of a sudden for these jerks to start calling me about these old debts? Anyone else having the same issue?

So I rec'd my 1st threating phone call today about someone coming to my home or place of work. They must have called my mother as soon as I didn't answer because she called me all upset. I told her to ignore it and next time he calls to tell him that she is going to report the call to the police. I'm not sure which payday company this is, I have sent letters to all of them and after a month of not hearing anything 'this is my one opportunity' to contact the firm handling this. Please.... I thank this forum I would be freaking out if it wasn't for the information I a have found on here.

I did the wrong thing at one time, needed money, and used Western Sky to get it. I took the loan out for $2600 about September of 2011. I was making payments until march, which by then, I paid $1519.49. My loan was of course sold off to Cash Call after the first payment. I got a few calls about the amount due for like 2 weeks after I failed to send in a payment in March, and nothing since. I keep getting letters every couple of months with them trying to modify my loan agreement, and making me pay a little less, but not much.

After getting a new phone number, we began getting 'robocalls' from Leading Edge Recovery Solutions at the rate of several calls a week. The machine doesn't identify who is calling, but gives a man's name and says to 'press 1' to be connected. When we have done this and told to operator that we have never heard of the person, they tell us they will take our number off the file. Then we continue to receive calls. Today I spoke to a woman who did the same routine. I asked if I could be connected to a supervisor or the legal department to stop the harrassment. She said that wasn't possible.

What should I do if a bottom feeder has used online tracking services to get my families information and now they are harrassing my family. They are calling my inlaws and my mother and saying they have a case number and are taking me to court. I know this is bogus; but any advice on what I tell them when I call them back? What to do!! This is out of control!!

I took out a loan online with a pay day group.I became disabled with no income. I have tried to make sporadic payments. This group keeps threatening me to have charges of fraud brought against me. Can I be charged and arresstrd?

I was wondering if the Debt collector refuses to give the name of the company is this a violation? I Know that I have worked for other collections agency's and we were told this is a rule for FDCPA. Is that true? If so what can I do to go forward with this?
