After reading this forum for about a month, I finally got the nerve to close my account, send ACH letters to all 4 of my payday loan companies. I also have one storefront here in town that I called. Then I waited. This is what's happened so far with each...there are a few that I need help knowing what I should do next. -Check Into Cash - They started calling immediately. Called me once. When I didn't answer, called my job and my 2 references. Talked to them today, they broke my $345 balance into 2 payments due on my next 2 pay days.

Does anyone know if gocash.com is legal? I'm in Texas and trying to deal with them is difficult. I have paid $2200 for a $400 loan....so any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

I got a call today from a woman who says she is representing a company that bought the original payday loan from the company I took one out for. I got a payday loan from SSM group online (which is not licensed in the state of Iowa) Anyways she said SSM sold their debt to a differnt company and now this company is sueing me and said she will go through with the summons, etc.. Anyways is this legal to do? I told her SSM group was illegal in the state of iowa and not licensed she claimed she has no affilliation with SSM group because they sold my debt to this other company.. Should I be worried?

I had a loan with plain green loans back in July for 800 dollars I paid more than the principal back and then couldn't pay it anymore now it has been sent to a collection agency My question is do I have to pay it back? I live in california...I heard they are a tribe and are illegal is this correct?

Hi all I live in California and last year in July 2011 I got a loan from plain green loans I made four payments of 277.00 and then could pay due to losing my job. Well now the loan was sent to a collection agency. I have read that plain green loans is illegal. Is that true for the state of California. I know I have paid the principal I actually payed more than the principal. Any advice on what I can do? Thank you
