I got a response from zip19.com today with an attached letter that said they have stopped collection and will accept my repayment terms! I offered to pay them two equal payments of my principle only and consider the account PIF. Sweet! It feels so good to get free of these darn PDL. :sun: I am still waiting for response from two other PDL and i have not heard one word from mypaydayloan.com since my last response to them. Thank you so much for this forum!!!

Bank of America

Hi there, I'm trying to compose a list of Pros & Cons for debt consolidation with BofA. I want to understand if it is the best deal for me. I have a fair credit rating and loans from 3 different institutions. Thus far I can see that BofA have good interest rates and a good offer for spreading the debt for 5 years. But, I'm afraid of there "right" to change my interest rate throughout the payback time. Any inputs/insights? Thank you very much, Dan Pastor

Midland Funding default judgment – How to deal with it

13 years 2 months ago
I recently became aware that a levy was placed on my assets via Midland Funding, LLC as the result of a default judgement. I was never served a court summons or aware that I was being sued. I have never had contact with this group before about any debt, let alone had it verified. Can I file to have the judgement vacated if I was never served? If they cannot provide documentation that I was properly served? I currently live in NJ, and have no assets for them to take - I've been unemployed since 2010 and was technically 'homeless' for a large portion of 2011.

Lender Discharged w/C7 & Credit Report

13 years 2 months ago
My mortgage was discharged in my C7, even though I'd requested and signed (through the atty) my intent to reaffirm. The lender did not send the affirmation pkg as requested and I didn't know (at the time) one was required to be signed before the judge at the final hearing. I continued paying my mortgage. When I pulled a credit report, I noticed my mtg had been discharged - I disputed. I contacted the lender they said I was no longer financially obligated though they still held the lien. Now I find they're still pulling 'hard' credit reports. Why?

Tate & Kirlin Associates

13 years 2 months ago
My mother passed away in 1999 and my sister and I closed out all of her accounts and debt. We just got a letter from Tate & Kirlin Associates in her name at our address (where she never lived...she died 2 years before we moved here) that says she owed over $2000 but they'd settle for $800. After researching online, it seems like this company is a problem. Even if this debt was legit (which it isn't) it is way past the statue of limitations. Would writing to them to validate the debt involve us and our credit? Our name is not on the statement even but they somehow have our address.
