I got a payday loan from a company called BCD LLC group for $300.00 and I leave in NJ. I paid 90.00 and then closed my account when I realized that that was only the finance charge and they were going to try to take more then I borrowed. I sent letters to the AG, BBB and other agencies. I received a letter from a debt collector and I spoke with them and told them I was willing to pay $210.00 and that was it. They said it was not good enough and I didn't hear anything for about a month.

Greetings- I am not new to the tactics collection agencies will use (they've called themselves "agents," said they were filing suit against me tomorrow in "X" county if I didn't pay money by 12:00 that day, etc.), but this particular scenario is new to me. Yesterday, a blocked number called my parent's house (we all live in Texas, but in different cities). The woman on the phone said she was "a courier for PCS" and needed to serve court documents on me (the phone was answered by my brother).

I received a letter today from Ohio Attorney General that Cash in a Wink has finally closed my account with a PAID IN FULL!!!! I went through BBB first and CIAW would not budge on amount owed. My guess is until law enforcement is involved they won't feel compelled to take action. Now 3 more to go!

I have a couple of payday loans which have been sold to collection agencies. Now these collection agencies are agressivley trying to collect. They have even gone so far to say that I will be served papers. I would like to know the likelihood of actually being sued for these outstanding payday loans. I have offered to make payments by mailing in but most will not provide a physical address to mail payment. They say they can only take payment by debit/credit card. OK my husband had a court date and he called and made payment arrangements so he did not have to go to court. I am the only one working at the time and we fell behind on paying them. So he gets a card from the court stating that he has a warrant for his arrest and to handle this matter. (He really has one it is a real sheriffs office in Wichita) We called the Lawyer and left a message and they NEVER call and you can never just talk to a person you have to leave a message and then they will call you back.

Everest has thanked me a total of 3 times now in the last few months for my payment??!! i long sinced closed my account, and they arent getting any money from my new account, so where are they getting this money???? they did email me once saying their payment didnt go thru, then 5 days later they thanked me for a payment of 292? i could see once being some weird fluke, but three times now?? everyone else is steaming mad at me for not paying and everest is happy as a clam. this is very strange to me.
