I, too, took a loan from this "company" but have no way of contacting them. I am concerned from what I am reading here that this operation is suspect, and that I am going to see debits from my account long after it is pd off. What can I do?

I could not find any of these lenders licensed in the State of CA. Are these lenders illegal in my state?

Yesterday, I received a message from my cousin who had gotten a call at her residence from Randall Stevens of National Litigations. He was requesting she get a message to me to contact him and he left a contact number and a case number. I also received a message on my phone from Josh Palmer of the same company. I called back with my case number and was transferred to Randall Stevens. After he looked up my "case," he said East Side Lenders was filing two charges against me: one for writing a bad check and one for intent to defraud. I know this stemmed from a payday loan.

Hi, I'm about 90 days late on my Target Visa card, which has a balance of about 5k. I haven't seen much about them on the forums. Does anyone have any experience with them? I'm hoping to settle, but would like to know what to expect. I have a few cards that are 90-120 days late, but the best offer I've gotten so far is 50% counter offer from Citi, after my 20% offer. I'm hoping if I hold out they will go lower. I haven't approached Target with a settlement yet. Thanks in advance for any info!

I just got a call from Lockhart, Morris & Montgomery, Inc about a loan with City County Credit Union I took out several years ago for the College Network scam. The lady left me a message saying that she was calling to let me know that the bank had petitioned for an affidavit of complaint regarding my certifications. She basically threatened that if we didn't pay back this debt that our wages would be garnished and they could take away or prevent us from becoming certified in the future (I'm in nursing school, my husband is a paramedic).

Hi All, I was hoping someone can help me out with this since I've tried to solve the problem on my own with no luck!! I graduated with mostly federal loans so I used the Federal Student Aid site to see what I owed to which lenders. Since I had moved four times since the beginning of my college career, I had lost track of my Massachusetts loan and obviously did not discover it through the Federal Student Aid site since it was a State loan. Needless to say, I defaulted on the loan and wasn't aware of the outstanding debt until it got sent to a third collections agency.
