My only income is SSI. My brother also gets SSI. My father had to go to a nursing home last June. Ever since, the Medical Hospital has been sending bills at my former father's home (I live in it with my developmentally disabled brother). Then they started sending "final notices". I called them and applied for charity. I did not get their decision, because I told them I applied for Public Aid for my father to pay his bills. They told me to call them back when I got a approval letter. I haven't gotten the approval letter yet. (Public aid is slow).

Just wanted to get your feedback on this and figure out what I should do. I am a Texas resident. I had a loan due with CashNet USA on Dec. 20 for $843.22. On Dec. 11 (a full week in advance), I emailed their Collections Dept. asking for a payment plan (EPP) for 4 payments, starting on Dec. 20th, of $210.80. The next day, I received an email back stating that the payment plan was accepted and processed as I requested. I verified with a CashNetUSA representative on Friday, Dec. 16th that the payment plan was in place and everything was fine.

I've gotten a call from someone from this company, citing off some weird case number, saying a judgement will be made if I do not call them by tomorrow noon. They say they've been trying to contact me, but you couldn't prove it by me. No other information was given, nothing about a bill, check, anything. Any help at all with this would be a help.

Hi, I'm married but filed chapter7 by myself. I did not reaffirm our mortgage per our attorneys recommendation. We are currently making payments on our mortgage. My bk was just discharged. I was told that although we continue to make payments, these will not have a positive impact on my credit report. My question show about my husbands? He did not file, if the payments are made on time, will the payments not show on his credit report as well? He is the primary borrower on our mortgage. Will the mortgageable on his credit report as discharged? Any info will be appreciated . Thank you

I got a call today from a collection agency in my state. Plain Green was the lender. I thought the loan with them was illegal so I paid back principal only. The lady from the collection agency told me I was referred there for "breach of contract" and she would sue me if I wouldn't work with them. Help! Please!

I had an old payday loan through The Cash Store that I had defaulted on over 1 1/2 ago. The cash store had closed out my account and has since been sold to a debt collector. I received severals voice message last week from a woman named Jennifer Hayes at a summons processing division. She gave a case number and indicated charges are being filed against me and need to verify my address. She gave a number to call 888-236-8558, if I wanted to settle this voluntarly. I called the number and they answered "Southwest".

I am about ready to say fuck it to social answers....most of the posters want information about their credit cards, questions that could be answered by their credit card company if they just turned over the damn card and called them. Most questions are really not debt related and with anonoymous posters who never return, it is like, why bother? The majority of the questions sound like they are coming from overseas...."where do I "collect" bankruptcy forms?? That is not north american verbage.

Hi again, After 10 days of emails and personal visits to the bank, they are still refusing to close the account linked to the PDLs. I went in with a copy of the EFTA, my bank statements showing multiple debits per pay-period from same lenders, and a copy of all my emails with their corporate office. All they would do is send an email to their operating manager to post a stop payment on upcoming charges, with no guarantee that this will stop this week's debits from going through. I even threatened to file a formal complaint with the AG, and they basically shrugged their shoulders at me.

my account was passed to a second collection agency. still seems that city owns the debt. i got a settlement offer for 20% on a $21760.79 balance. i ask for physical letter, and they say NO and wanted to provide electronic letter by email/fax. I haggle with them, and then they say they will mail letter, but it might take a while and if I don't send payment by the 27th, then deal is off the table. I am suppose to be getting the settlement in the mail, but they emailed me one.
