Has anyone received a call from # 877-601-9194. They state its regarding a payday loan that is in default and they are preparring to submitt my case to Los Angeles county. I do have a few payday loans that are illegal and I just recently defaulted and will be sending cease and desist letters. They didn't even mention which payday loan it was....should i be worried and call back?

I just received a small claims summons to court in Jan 2012. Forysth Law Office is suing me on behalf of Norfolk Financial who is an assignee of Bank First. On the small claims paper it lists the Bank First account number and my last payment date of 10/3/2007. Back in 2007 I fixed every single negative thing on my credit and to date I have scores of 700+. So, I asked Forsyth to provide me with info showing that this is a valid debt. I received a photo copy of my name with an account number and the debt amount.

Third party CA responded to my Validation request with details of Balance, Original Creditor, a/c number, ssn # printed out on the collection agency lettter head and mailed it to me. Is this a proper validation? If not, I do I respond to this validation? Thanks

OK, Here it is, I was severely injured in an accident at the end of August and prior to this I was mixed up in PDLs for about 3 years now- I know, stupid. I have not worked since then and will not be back to work until atleast January. Well, I have been tryng to play the catch up game since then and this morning the shoe hit the fan and I am scared, lost and dont' know what to do. I had 5 loans to come out of my account this morning and I failed to get the money into my account in time and combined the withdrawals went over my $800.00 overdraft protection with the bank and they were not paid.

I was denied credit due to unpaid bill from 2008 reported by CBCS. I disputed the information as the unpaid bill was for services charged by my cell phone company after I terminated service by phone, which I don't have any documentation to prove. What can I do to eliminate the bad credit report so that I can get credit?

My story: The regular savings is gone. We are both working multiple part time jobs to keep the family going, and supplementing that with money from the 401k.

I live in Michigan area code 313. The collection agency that keeps calling me is based in Texas and Phoenix with no offices in Michigan. When they call me, my caller ID shows a number starting with 313 appearing as if someone from Michigan when they are not. Would this be a violation of the Truth in caller ID act of 2010? Would this violate anything in the FDCRA?

I'm inquiring on behalf of my girlfriend and for my own curiousity. My girlfriend's savings account was garnished without her knowledge. She has never received any court summons or any mailing paperwork warning or letting her know of any impending actions toward her. I know this for sure as we've lived together for quite some time. It is my understanding that anytime a garnishment takes place, it comes from a judgement handed down from a judge. Apparently this is an issue from 9 years ago when she was 20 and she has never received any notices.

Hello, My wife and I decided to start a family. Both educated, good jobs, etc. Long story short, we couldn't get pregnant. We did IVF 3 times. Cost about $38,000. That did not work. Then, we turned to adoption. We now have a beautiful baby boy (now 9-months old - time flies!) - that ran us about $30,000. The IVF and adoption bills are killing us and we are now way over our heads. Both have great credit and several cards are 0% but the payments are so high.
