ok since cashnetusa says they are a cso loan they can charge what ever interest rate they want in Ohio even though Ohio has a max of 28%??

I recieved a letter for the intent to initiate garnishment, however I have no job and I'm currently a student. The debt is from the Department of Treasury and is not a result of defaulted student loans. I'm wanting to know 2 things. 1) will it show up on credit report? I'm pretty sure from my research that it will not, but I wonder if after some length of time not getting any garnishments will the agency pursue a judgement? 2) Will it have any impact on receiving future student loans? Hi, I was on here a month or so ago to talk about my debt situation with Med.Ch0ice.Finanical. Which is essentially W0rld.Financial Netw0rk National Bank. I called them up today to get my full account details and balance owed and the automated message said that the Audit Investigation Department is now handling my account. I assume this means it's gone into collections? I'm unsure as to what else that could mean. They gave me # to call to contact them but haven't, I don't know if it's going to be some aggressive collector trying to get funds.

I received an email from Powell Law Office, PC today. It states that I owe TLE dba: National-PaydayLoan.com $618.00 on a $300.00 loan. I replied to their email with a template from this forum that National Payday was not licensed to do business in Minnesota etc. The reply I received back (to paraphrase) was thank you for validating the debt and we will forward this information to our attorneys in Minnesota. Now what?

Does the FDCPA apply to Checksmart in-house collections? I am having a lot of trouble with them. I would like the phone calls to employer to stop, would like a copy of my debt (haven't received anything in writing) etc. Please let me know what I can do. Thank you.

Hi everyone, I have had at least 5 different collection agencies either call me or email me and each one is saying that they are working for CMG GROUP LCC. And each one of these so-called groups are all in different states. They are "Mary Summers & Assoc", "AAG Claims", "Lombardo, Davis, Goldman firm", "Apax Financial LCC" and the latest one was from someone called "BGA" (?) They are from GA, FL, NY, IL, and the actual loan company (CMG) is in MO, according to what little I can find about them.
