I got a Michael J Scott "Courtesy Copy" lawsuit in the mail on Saturday and my parents said someone was looking for me at their house on Saturday regarding some papers (process server is my guess). Do i need to respond to this lawsuit if I haven't officially been served? Should I just call the guy looking for me and let him serve me? I thought I read somewhere that you still need to respond if you haven't officially been served. I guess my question is, WHAT DO I DO?

Person at allied just copied our old file and did not make us provide proof of anything for new loan. Now they said they will suspend driver liscence and garnish wages. The vehicle that we got the 2nd loan on was sold before long before loan was taken out. They never asked us anything, just photocopied all old info for new loan. Your only chance to get this dismissed is to prove that someone other than you used the card and made the payments. Try working with Hanna's office in Georgia; I'm sure you'll be able to work out a nice settlement. If they transfer you to their office in Missouri you might run into a problem, as this particular office is more of a collection agency with a lot of unprofessional people.
