I filed BK in 1996, I have a letter from the BK court in my possession. I rec'd a call at work from West Asset Managenent trying to collect on a debt from 1992. I told them to send any and all information to my home address, which they have, and to not call me at work. I rec'd a second call today with the same pushy tone and told them to never call my office again. Do they even have a right to call on a debt from 1992? After filing a BK?

So make a long story short I took out an illegal payday loan and couldnt pay them back. Frontier Financial Group is saying I owe more than I know I do. Also they are saying I missed two payments instead of the one I know I missed. I keep asking for something in writing breaking down how much I owe instead of just paying them what they say I owe. Especially when what they say I owe is not what I owe. They refuse to give me a written breakdown of what I owe. What should I do?

It says the results of out investingation then has this listed A revised copy of your credit file has been sent to this credit grantor If you have additional questions please contact, then it gives the name/ address. The names/addresses are of the credit grantors and the bureaus. Has any one gotten a response like this and knows what it means?

For almost 2 years my husbands paychecks have been garnished from numerous attorneys claiming that they are collecting for Arrow Financial Services--we don't recall ever having any loan or whatever with them--somehow they got a court order to collect and do this--but we don't have a clue how much they are owed and under what real name--so far they have collected over 4500 dollars--last paycheck they took out a little over 30 percent of his pay--we are going out of our mind--what can we do?? we had no warning of this from his employment--USPS-what can we do???

I have a few cc I settled last year. Both have 90 late pays on them. I want to know if there is anything I can do to put them in better standing. The cards are chase and discover. Both were settled for 90 percent of what was owed.

This First IRS legal Department just called me and threatened me with a law suit regarding an unpaid cash out loan that hasn't been paid. He won't take any money over the phone? he wants a money gram that costs me $10? I am not comfortable with this...he couldn't even give me a correct address and will not send me anything in writing in response to the debt validation I asked for? I am not planning on sending anything to him until I get something in writing and a response from someone on this web page....
