if i make payment more than montly payment , will creditor sue to pay oridinal debt instead?

In september 2008 during my shopping on an OldNavy store they asked me to apply for a credit card in the store, they didn't gave me much details and only told me that its a store card and I can open an account with them and I applied for account with them in the store. However, my credit card application was declined at the store itself and I paid full amount for the purchases I made right there. I did not make any purchases after that. Now I received a notice from First National Collection Bureau Inc.

I missed a payment on my credit card and dropped 24 points on my credit score. How fast can i bring that score back up?

I had a law suit filed against me by a law firm (on behalf of a credit card company) in a county court in Maryland. The day of the hearing, the case was dismissed by the judge. About six months later, I received a summons form a second law firm (representing the same credit card company for the same debt), but in a different Maryland jurisdiction. Is this legal? baffled:confused:

Portfolio Recovery just called my house and spoke to my room mate ( I was showering). The woman on the phone told him the amount of my debt and that they were taking me to court. Can they do that? Discuss my debt with others with out my permission?
