I received a call today from Mike Nelson from Powell Law Office. He states that I owe over $900 from two payday loans (PDL Ventures, orginal amount of $300 and National PayDay Loan, original amount $390). Then his associate Carl Nierode came on the phone. They demand that I pay the balances on these two accounts, over $900 and that I pay it today. I ask that a letter be sent to me with the information on the accounts, such as the amounts, original creditors, original balances, and when the loans were obtained. Honestly, I had quite a few online payday loans out at one point.

I have a telephone bill equalling $5455 that someone used my identity with to open a couple of years ago. It now appears on my credit report. The credit reporting agencies tell me that I have to resolve this first with the CA, since they are the ones that report it to them. I then get told that I have to resolve this with the credit reporting agencies so that they can remove it from my record. Who is right? I have a police report proving that this account was not opened by me, yet I don't know who to contact first to have it removed?

Ok i am in the process of cleaning up my credit report and working towards increasing my credit score... I would like to know if its been more than 7 years on a debt and it has not fallen off my credit what do I do? also do i send a letter to the credit bureaus if something is showing that is closed and does not reference that i paid it in full (e.g student loan)?

I have four payday loans out, in various stages of repayment. However, the amount coming out of my check each pay period is a little more than half of my check which doesn't leave me enough money to pay the other bills. I live in New York State and just found out (at least I think that is what the informations is saying) that Payday loans are prohibited in New York. What should I do? ok, here's the situation. my girlfriend and i bought a house together 4 months ago. she put $10,000 down and I put 0. now we broke up and she doesn't want to sell in this market because she won't get her $ back. i can't get off the mortgage because she can't refi by herself and neither can i. we can't get co-signers so i was considering leaving and letting the house go into forclosure. my question is will i be considered insolvent by the irs if the house gets sold and we owe the difference tax wise. i take home 2400/month. i have 0 savings...a few hundred in checking.
