I cosigned a large Sallie Mae GradPlus student loan for someone back in August, 2009. But as of February, 2011, this loan does not show up on my credit report (I've checked both Experian and Equifax). The loan is currently in deferment and does not go into repayment until June, 2011. Sallie Mae has the loan set up as two separate accounts, one in the primary borrower's name, with the full balance, and one in my name, with a zero balance. Can someone explain why the loan does not show up on my credit report even though I cosigned? Will it ever show up?

I received a call Saturday morning from someone from Frederick J Hanna and Associates. The guy said that he was representing Citibank for a debt that I owe to them. My question is, this debt has been sold to a collection agency, so can Citibank even still sue me over this? Also, how do I get them to prove that they are actually representing Citibank?

My boyfriend has a charge on his debit card from International Asset Group. They slammed his card with a # of charges, trying to get as much money out of his as possible, until they had drained his account. This was NEVER authorized and he has never spoken to them before. He is on the phone with the credit card company now, and it sounds like they are telling him to call IAG. From what I've read, it doesn't sound like IAG is going to be helpful at all. This sort of thing HAS to be illegal, right?
