I have just recieved a debt settlement offer, which Focus Receivables Managment will forgive 70% of the debt. The direction states to enclose the bottom portion of the letter with the settlement amount in the enclosed reply envelope for proper processing. Or to contact them. The bottom portion of the letter only states the full amount which is $517, and no where in that portion which I am to send to them with my payment does it state the settlement amount of 30% of the $517, anywhere.

what if they collect a debt that is for a student loan but an incorrect amount is there away of disputing this ? especially if its alot more then what they should have taken and i have proof.....

Hi there, I got sued personally under my name by a local lawyer who represent credit cards co. It went to a court, and they put a judgment on my name. The question is, can they put a lien in an investment house that is own by me and my partner(50/50) and it is under a corporation?

I live in Arizona and my sister who is not able to work because of a stroke lost her disability income last year which paid her credit cards. One card in particular that was sent to CFG is the only one that was sent to a third party and trying to talk with them is like talking to a wall. She is only on Social Security which covers just her cost of living - food - medications and leaves her with barely any cash at all for the rest of the month. I, her sister, pay for everything else and don't have the funds to help out with her credit card bills.

I have a few questions about GC Services. I was hoping someone could help me. They are a very rude company first of all. I have a student loan that I'm very behind on. It is now in collections with GC. They sent me papers to appeal my case so they wouldn't take my taxes or garnish my wages. I sent them everything they needed last month. I can't afford them to take my taxes (which they did) or garnish my wages because I am a single mom, only working part time at kohls .
