Is it possible to negotiate a pay for delete with credit card companies when you aren't currently late on your bill? I was approved for a personal loan to consolidate a few of my debts, but if I settled with the companies I would be able to pay off almost all of them. Will creditors be more or less willing to work with me since none of my accounts are delinquent? The pay for delete seems like it would be a good thing, but everything I've read about involves your account being in bad standing. I'm approximately $25,000 in debt. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

OK I filed a complaint about illegal lending and collection tactics. I was told its not in their jurisdiction to deal with online payday lenders...what!? How come everyone says complain to the AG?

My goal is to get some settlements from Wells Fargo and Chase. 2 cards with Chase around 10k and Wells Fargo at 17k. I am on a 9 month reduced payment plan with Chase that will expire next month but I am current on that plan and Wells Fargo apparently will not negotiate much and I am already 120+ days behind with them. Wells wants 200 next week and another 200 by the end of the month and then 400 a month for the payment. I would like to just do a settlement even at 50% right now but the only funds are in a 401k and I just paid off a loan on that so I have a 6 month waiting period.

A year and half ago I lost a good paying job and had to accept a ???temp jobs??? that was paying about 35% less than I was making. [SIZE=3]Unfounately, due to COBRA, and House payments, I was not able to pay my credit card debt. [/SIZE] Luckily, I was able to afford to settle two (at a very, very low settlement amount) of my four past due accounts within months of losing my good paying job.

NAR is threatening to sue me if I don't pay my $103 doctor bill by Feb. 17th, but I don't have the money until March 4th. I told them I'd pay them March 4th but they say if I don't pay them by next Thursday, they're going to send it to the attorneys. Who are these people and how are they allowed to stay in business!?!? It sounds like I'm going to lose everything just like this lady in the article did!! Someone HELP ME Please!

HI Everyone, I have sent a DV letter to them put have not received my RRR back from the post office saying that they signed for it. Its been about two weeks. Does anyone have another address besides the one above?
