i have just received a wage garnishment from hunt and henriques. i work out of the state and my wife found a summons in the bushes, i went to the summons (made a special trip home) and their rep asked for a continuance which was granted with a court date to be determined. i was never notified of the court date so they go the award. just spoke with them and they will not negotiate. do i have any recourse?

I live in PA and took a PDL thru Fleet Marketing. They are deducting by automatic debit thru my bank account twice a month. The fee is $210.00 each transaction. If I don't pay above the fee the principal remains the same. I have only been able to afford to pay above the fee once. I took the loan in Oct. 2010., for $750.00 and to date I have paid $1,115.00. Only $65.00 of that has gone to the principal. I'm drowning here; I can't afford it at all and am I cursed to be in a $420.00 monthly paymnet FOREVER ? I could close my bank account but I don't want to do that.

Well, I was scared by the tactics that ACM uses and I have been paying 100 a month for the past 2 years. (Dumb on my part). I did not want to have any lawsuit or judgment against me. I have requested information about the debt from them numerous times and I have never been sent anything. The first guy that said that he was to ATTORNEY, said that the company would be willing to settle for 700 dollars. (which is crazy because the credit card that I believe that they are collecting for was only 500.00).

I have 6 internet payday loans and the fees are drowning me. Just when I think I can pay one off something happens and I don't have the money. My fees are taken out of my account every other payday - every 2 weeks at 100-150 each. That is like 1200 a month. How can I combine these? Can bankruptcy negate alimony in futuro payments? Also is bankruptcy some thing both parties in a happy marriage must file for together or can just one. I ask because I am a wage earner and my present wife is on Social Security and I have a tremendous alimony payment. Each month I fall $3000 to $4000 short on my bills but I have been depleting my retirement savings.
