Just wanted to share my experience....I filed complaints with the DE & MO BBB offices aganist Eastside Lenders. Make sure that you watch your email for a response. EL responded with a typical "she is still repsonsible for unpaid balance" when I have OVERPAID they by $950 already. I then had to REJECT their response through the BBB complaint so the BBB can send them that reject letter. Of course I am fighting for a refund and will continue to do so incesintely!!! So....make sure you follow up when you file a complaint :)

Is anyone familiar with this particular company? I got a cell phone call yesterday, 12/27, from them, asking for someone who no longer has this phone number. I've had it for the last 2 1/2 years. They stated that if this was NOT the person they wanted, hang up. Kind of hard, when they're talking to voice mail, and I'm sound asleep! Besides, my VM states MY name, when message(s) left. So, after that brief comment, they proceeded to leave debt collection information for the individual they seek, apparently NOT knowing they were talking to Voice Mail. Not the first time either.

A little back story- I received a civil court summons against a company (I will leave them nameless!)- which is a collection agency. I have not made any payments (currently looking into past bank records) since 2003 (which is over 7 years ago and past the SOL). They have that I made a payment in 2007 (which is false). I have tried contacting an attorney but have not talked to her in over a week and I am getting nervous (since the 20 day deadline is quickly approaching!).

My husband was on my checking account, and even though he never used this account, my checks are getting denied with reason code 4, because his checking account with my name on it, but never used by me, had some insufficient funds when he wrote a check before. We are now seperated, how can I get my record straight, I have never had an unsufficient check returned,

I'm currently waiting to file for my bankruptcy till after I get my tax refund (will file taxes as soon as I get my W-2's so hopefully around Jan. 15, 2011) so I can pay my lawyer to file for my bankruptcy (upon lawyers advice to keep my tax return and to pay him). I've been making small payments since Sept. but the bulk has yet to be paid. I just recieved in the mail a summons to appear before court Jan. 11 @ 1pm for a hospital bill that went into collections (was $565.00 now over $900 for court and lawyer fees).

Is there anyway you can provide me with the information about payments that were deducted from my bank acoount number for the Student Loan Payment for my daughter? The year for these payments were during January or February until September of 2009. I took out a payday loan through themandhavelost all the contact info. I need to get ahold of them before 30th and make sure they withdraw the whole mat and don't keep renewing. Am I too late for this month? Thanks in advance.
