hello. Two months ago my husband and I signed up for everest debt solutions. At this point we've made two payments totalling about $800. We were under the impression that we didn't qualify for chapter 7 bankruptcy and didn't see the point in filing chapter 13 and still paying. Thought the debt solutions was a good solution. Now we find out we qualify for chapter 7 and have met with a lawyer. I contacted everest and was hung up when told I wanted to cancel and a refund! I couldn't believe these nice people who I had talked to at first hung up on me!

i have had a default judgment against me. what should i do next?

Should I send a letter to debt collector to verify they own the credit card company debt. I have have been sent a summons. Is it too late?
